PbxTools PhoneJournal is a call accounting software designed for small and medium offices that can help reducing the phone bill and give real-time information about outgoing and incoming calls inside the company. The application captures the call data from the PBX unit and stores it in a database. This information is used to generate reports that point out the most expensive calls and their distribution by time, user, extension, trunk, etc. The software supports a wide range of PBX units from manufacturers as Avaya, Alcatel, DialFace, Panasonic, Samsung, Siemens, Nitsuko, NEC, TIE, etc. The application can be easly configured to use currently unsuported PBXs. It uses standard SMDR and CDR date transfer using serial cable connection or TCP/IP connection. Some of the reports generated by PhoneJournal are: Top Calls, External line usage report, costs by carrier, costs by extensions or department, account code reports, zone reports, or filtred listings. The reports are generated in HTML format and can be easily sent by email. PhoneJournal is multilanguage enabled and can be easly translated to other than the default languages.
